Sometimes when I write these blog posts I wonder if anybody is really ever going to read them. I know I'm not an expert on This Adventure Called Marriage. I'm a wedding photographer that loves to tell your story and I'm a hopeless romantic. I absolutely LOVE love stories. When couples tell me how they met, how he proposed, their wedding plans, I am seriously interested. I love it! But what I want to hear even more than that are the success stories year after year. I love connecting with couples and watching them grow families, have successes and even cry with them when times aren't so good.

Communication

Okay, don't roll your eyes at me. You talk to your husband or wife, your fiance. I know. But do you really talk about EVERY THING? Hopefully talking is one of the big reasons you fell in love in the first place. If you don't talk, I mean really talk, you will have more problems than if you do talk throughout your relationship. My husband and I have talked about just about everything under the sun. Sometimes we have those animated conversations I told you about before. And sometimes it's not so much fun. We don't always agree. Communication isn't always about agreeing. It's about being open and honest with each other, so that you can make it through and hopefully enjoy the adventure.
